Skype group video calls are now free for everyone to compete with G+ Hangouts

A lot of people use Skype- in fact (although I don’t have the figures to prove) I would imagine that many more people use Skype than Google Hangouts. However Google Hangouts is the jewel in the Google+ crown. It allows you to do group video chat with up to 10 people and broadcast via Hangouts on Air to potentially millions of people.

Microsoft aren’t wanting to be outdone and have now made their group video chat (previously only available to paying customers) free.

So… do you prefer Skype or Google Hangouts? Why?
