Twitter adds 2 step authentication- but it is pretty useless

Twitter have just added 2 step authentication, but it is via SMS. That means it is useless if you have multiple accounts since you can’t have more than one twitter account linked to the same phone. SMS is also insecure. Why couldn’t they use something open and useful like Google Authenticator? 

What a let down! 🙁
