I started podcasting towards the end of last year and I am very happy with the purchase of my Blue Yeti USB Microphone. I want to start producing some videos but to be honest not sure how to start and wondered if any of you could give me some advice.

My laptop has an integrated webcam- but it really is rubbish (not a big surprise). I am looking at buying a Logitech C920 HD Webcam as this seems to have good reviews. Now, I know if your serious about producing videos for the web this won’t be good enough, but will it be ok for walk through videos and the like? Can I use it in conjunction with my USB Mic?

I have an Adobe Creative cloud subscription so I do have access to Adobe Premiere, but from what I can see this doesn’t actually help with recording the video and audio to your computer. So, how do I go about capturing the video from my webcam and my USB microphone? I had assumed Premiere did that, but it doesn’t look like it. I’ll be using Camtasia for my screencasts which I hope will capture my screen as well as my webcam from the Logitech webcam and audio from my USB Mic.

Should I invest in a green screen sheet? If so, any recomendations?

And, what would be better than the webcam? I would love to purchase a Canon EOS 7D, but can’t afford anything close to that currently.
