Amazon Fire Kindle
I have to say I’m not that excited about the new Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. Yes it is very cheap ($199), but the lack of e-Ink (yes I know it’s a tablet first and a Kindle 2nd) and 3G make it something I won’t go for. It also has no camera (which would make Google Hangouts or Skype a no-no). I am interested in the new Kindle Touch 3G, but I’ll still wait before I buy my first tablet. I was tempted by the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1, but it is still early days for Android tablets. The good news is that now that Amazon have released this tablet, all the other manufacturers will be working hard to release better tablets that cost less. So, I am looking forwards to seeing how things will pan out!
