A question for Mark Traphagen on rel=”me” & rel=”author”
I’ve read your fab posts on the subject, but I am a little confused, especially when using the WordPress SEO plugin by Joost de Valk
in your post, http://www.virante.org/blog/2012/01/08/how-to-show-your-author-photo-in-google-search-results/
you state that we should use rel=”author” to point to our Author page on the site. You then say we should add a rel=”me” on the author page to our G+ profile. That makes sense, but the WordPress SEO plugin just uses rel=”author” to link to the G+ profile.
Does this matter? Can we use rel=”author” to link to my G+ profile on each post? What about rel=”me”? And can I stick rel=”publisher” on every page of the site as well?
I’ve been having issues with my profile pic not appearing on some of my articles.
