Anyone else fascinated by trees? Just spotted this cool looking one
There is something magical about trees. Perhaps it is the way they sprout out of the ground from nothing and can grow so tall and huge and potentially live for thousands of years. In fact there is one tree in the world that not far off 10,000 years old – Old Tjikko in Sweden.

Anyway, I came across this tree today – no idea what it is, but I loved the look of it. Majestic and has interesting features.
What is your favourite tree and why? For me, it has to be the banyan tree. I find it amazing that one tree can sprout so many other trunks. Just look at The Great Banyan Tree in India – huge! http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Banyan
