Are you seeing this? New Google+ Link Previews Return
Thanks to Mike Allton who has his finger on the Google+ pulse as usual! It is usual to post an image on Google+ as well as a link to the article to force a full size image preview, but now Google is showing full link preview cards. Are you seeing this?

New Google+ Link Previews Return
Google+ is once again displaying link shares with large images, link description and more.
This time, the images being displayed are in line with what we were seeing as of 3/14 – a fixed height of about 500px and a scaled width of the same dimension.
This means that, if it remains this way, square images may actually display best when they’re part of link preview cards. Taller images may either have more white space to the left and right, or be cropped, depending on how Google+ chooses to display them.
Regardless, I will continue to keep an eye on how these developments are finalized so that businesses and bloggers have a better understanding of how best to format images and link shares.
