Funny- A Parody on The Sainsbury’s Christmas Advert
I realised before I was going to watch this that I hadn’t managed to see the real Sainsbury’s Christmas advert for 2014, so I did. If you haven’t either, then you can watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF2JBb1bvM It’s long for an advert, but well worth watching. It’s beautifully made and tells the story of Christmas in the trenches in World War I. The German and British side come together, sing Stille Nacht and play football together.
But it I suppose it was never going to be long before a parody video came along and here it is from Hot Gulp and it’s just wonderful. Instead of being set in the trenches in World War I, it’s set in the “trenches” of Supermarket wars- Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s.
