Google Plus May Change, But It Will Not Be Put to Death

I wrote this article because even though I do think the Techcrunch post was very poor journalism, the fact remains that the unexplained departure of Vic Gundotra is undeniably a big deal. It is right to raise questions about the future of the platform so tied to him. That’s not the problem.

The problem that I was trying to address was the jumping to conclusions that because a) Vic left and b) Google+ may not have succeeded as a social network to the extent that had once been hoped, then it follows that Google is going to kill it. That’s the conclusion that I think  is not only unwarranted, but is outright foolish if you understand what Google+ really is.
