Just a quick update on the forthcoming version of Twools (particularly the WP version)…
– all API requests are now cached. The default is an hour, but you can change that. This should keep Twitter a little happier.
– In the WP plugin you you can click a button to generate your secret string. The secret string is appended to your RSS feeds to make them a little, well, secret!
– The secret string is now generated from your secret string and the query string. This means the secret string for each RSS feed will be different. This will make it very difficult (in fact pretty much impossible) for a hacker to guess or exploit unless they find out your secret string.
