Mike Allton hope you don’t mind me asking you a question on Google+. I really feel I should know this since I’ve been on G+ since the start, but there seems to be conflicting information out there…

If I share a post publicly and add a circle is that the same as just posting publicly? I’ve got in a silly habit of posting to public and my “cool geeks” circle. I am now concerned that I’ve been inadvertently notifying everyone in my “cool geeks” circle. I shared a photo this morning publicly and my circle and someone asked me why they had been notified. I suppose they could have set their notifications to ping when I post.
