New Blog Post: How to Change your LinkedIn Password & How to choose a good one

Whether or not your LinkedIn pass­word was stolen in the recent secur­ity breach, it’s still a good idea to change your pass­word. LinkedIn have said they are send­ing emails to the cus­tom­ers who have been affected, and have effect­ively reset their pass­words (to ensure that the leaked pass­words can­not be used).

Finally, LinkedIn are tak­ing the secur­ity meas­ures they should have done years ago and salted our pass­words. For more inform­a­tion on salt­ing and pass­word, see my pre­vi­ous art­icle called “Your Pass­word is Not Safe”.

It’s fairly easy to change your pass­word in LinkedIn, but I thought it might be handy to list some simple steps.
