#PRISM – The NSA probably has a copy of your emails…
Fascinating. Just found out what PRISM probably is from security guy, Steve Gibson. PRISM basically splits off the light from the fibre optic cables from the pipes that go into Google’s and other company’s data centres. The NSA effectively takes a copy of the Internet traffic’s data. Some of that might be encrypted, but most email isn’t. It is highly likely that all our emails and other data is being stored and analysed at the huge NSA database in Utah.
They also have had access to every American’s phone records. That means which number they have called or received a call from and the cell tower (and hence their location) they connected to. They have the capability of connecting everyone on the states and going back in time over years and years.
Big brother or necessary?
