Reach your audience who is not on G+: Pin your G+ posts on Pinterest
I am on Pinterest and I do believe in the platform, but for me it’s just another social network that I never seem to have time to work with. For those of us who don’t have a social media team to delegate to, there are always going to be social networks that we don’t have the time or resources to work with. That’s fine- it’s more important to invest in the social networks that work for you. For me that’s Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.
I’m a big fan of Friends+Me which allows me to selectively cross post to other networks from Google+. In fact, if you’re reading this post on a network other than Google+ it came about due to Friends+Me. I can cross-post selectively to Facebook (profiles, pages and groups), LinkedIn (profiles, pages and groups), Tumblr, Google+ pages, Twitter and even appdotnet.
There isn’t an API for Pinterest yet. That means it’s pretty much impossible to automate the process using the likes of IFTTT or Zapier. However, Gill Andrews has come up with an easy way to effectively cross post your Google+ posts to Pinterest. Since Google+ posts are very visual, it makes sense to cross post some of them to Pinterest.
What do you think? Will this be something you will use?

Is it a brilliant idea or have you guys been doing this already, and I’ve reinvented the wheel?
I liked this image with the quote I created for one of my posts so much that I decided to pin it on my “Writing” board on Pinterest.
It’s as simple as adding a pin from a website:
1. Get a link to your public post
2. Go to the board on Pinterest
3. Click “add pin”->”from web”
4. Paste the link to the post
Well, the rest I’m sure you are familiar with 🙂 Needless to say that clicking on the pin will take you to the post itself. Here is my first G+ post pin: http://goo.gl/F2dx9U
I think I’ll create a new board for my favorite posts!
Next Step: Sharing your G+ posts on Facebook! 😀 Joking. I’m not on Facebook (bäh!)
