Some updates…
Sorry for the silence for the past month or so. The truth is I’ve been very busy with other projects and (shock horror!) trying to earn a living. But I do plan on moving things forwards with Twools. I use it myself and it really helps my work flow.
But I do need some help. Over the coming month or so I plan on cleaning up the code and upgrading a few things and putting it on GitHub. Twools will be completely open source and it would be great if we could have a community of people working to improve it. If you can help, I’d love to know!
Here are my thoughts so far (just a quick list). Let me know yours when you get the chance!
– Clean code
– upgrade to UI Bootstrap 3
– Move feeds to be within streams
– Add ability to show followers in streams
– Add RSS button at bottom of Streams page for RSS feeds
– Ability to save feeds & streams for later
– ability to override cache (times and days) on a per stream/feed basis
– Ability to set a cache time for streams
– Customise layout for streams to allow embedding on a WordPress website
– ability to reply, retweet and favorite within Twools
– add multiple account facility
– be able to authorise without having to create an app
– Improve spam filter
– Move over to the default being a WordPress version of Twools, but still allow standalone versions to run (using separate config file)
– put on GitHub
