Stunning photo- Thunderstorm by Rama VIII Bridge, Thailand
Lightning fascinates me, although I have to admit I don’t particularly enjoy being in a thunderstorm! There was a fairly big thunderstorm here in Cheadle last week and we were all woken up in the middle of the night with a bang!
Here is an amazing photo of lightning in Bangkok, Thailand taken by Tinnapat Chaikoonsaeng (h/t to 500px for sharing the photo). You can see the Rama VIII Bridge which is a cable bridge crossing the Chao Phraya River.
We’ve all seen this type of lightning, but have any of you seen ball lightning? That’s a rare phenomenon that only very few ever see. I think my friend Dean Belfield may have mentioned to me that he had seen it once. Is that true?
