Why App dot net didn’t work out, and what it could have achieved? Do you agree?

As a long time user of the niche social network (or Twitter clone) App dot net (I have two accounts) I was sad to read these words by Christina Warren but she does make the case very well. I can’t really counter her arguments because although I’ve used App dot net since it came out, I’ve used it sporadically. It’s such a shame, because I’ve always found the community there vibrant. Nowadays, though, it’s full of people cross posting from other networks. Not that I am guilty of that…  Hmmm…
