Android G+ App fixes Mentions
I downloaded the latest G+ app for Android last night, but it wasn’t until now that I realised that it’s fixed the annoying “mentions” bug or limitation. Before when you tried to mention someone in a post on the mobile app, it only gave you the option to choose from a list from your phone’s contacts. That was pretty useless, as most of the people I follow on G+ are not in my phone’s contacts.
However, now you can choose from your G+ contacts! Start off with a plus symbol and start typing (or Swyping) and you’ll see an autocomplete list.
A huge, huge thanks to Punit Soni and the G+ mobile team. The Android app is more getting rock solid now.
For those with a front facing camera (not me, alas) you can now video chat with up to 10 people using Google Hangouts, which is really cool. In fact so cool, I really really want a phone with a front facing camera now!
How are you getting on with the app?
