GooglePlusEtiquette – +Mentioning people in posts
I’m always very conscious of social media etiquette, but it’s sometimes easy to get things wrong. I almost never check the also send email to box, unless I am sending to family or friends who aren’t on Google+.
But how about mentioning people in posts? I sometimes like to give credit to people, especially when sharing posts. It seems the right thing to do. However, I am sure it might get frustrating for people (especially people with lots of followers such as martin shervington and Christine DeGraff) as they’ll get loads of notifications.
So, what do people think? I expect there is no hard and fast rule here, but I don’t want to spam people.
