Great for client conference calls: How to Create a Scheduled Private Hangout Meeting
Google Hangouts is an amazingly powerful platform and it’s great for conference calls with clients. I am starting to use it much more regularly- particularly in situations when we have a client in a different location to myself and have over people involved such as content creators and designers.
Ronnie Bincer shows you how to create a scheduled hangout within Google+ for a private chat. This is not a Hangout on Air where you and other people broadcast to an audience. This is a traditional video chat hangout between you and up to 9 other participants.
A big thanks to Ronnie Bincer for this very helpful video and a h/t to Mark Traphagen for sharing it.

Google Plus Traditional Events and Hangout Meetings
Setting up private video meetings with Google+ Events is something I do every day. This short 4 min 15 sec. video shows you how to set them up using the Traditional Google+ Event Tool.
Meeting with people via a Google+ Event has a lot of advantages. One of the most important advantages is that it integrates quite nicely with Google Calendar… another is that it does any timezone translations for you automatically.
Since it ties into the calendar, it also sends out notification reminders 24 hrs. ahead of time and then 10 minutes ahead of the meeting… quite nice to help get everyone together at the same time in the same place. These virtual meeting rooms are really quite nice.
This short video was pulled out of a longer Training Session I just held (5/22/14) which covered how to create Private Recorded Sessions with your clients. That training session is available for Hangout Mastery members. If you do online coaching (or want to) then you’ll want to sign up for the membership soon. We archive all the prior live training sessions like this one.
There are many more reasons why membership is a great idea, but you might join up just to access this very valuable video training session. Get details at bit.ly/HangoutMastery
Pro Tip: You can get into the Event’s “Video Meeting Room” before your other guests by clicking on the “Hangouts” text link just below the date/time shown in the Details area. It’s nice to be ready for them when they arrive!
